Gathering HOPE is a casual virtual group where you can connect with others to find hope, friendship, and support. There are two groups each month:
Gathering HOPE
- Open to anyone diagnosed with lung cancer or caring for someone with lung cancer.
- Occurs on the 2nd Tuesday of each month starting at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
Gathering HOPE: Young Lung
- Designed for people diagnosed with lung cancer at age 50 or younger and their loved ones, in partnership with Young Lung Cancer Initiative.
- Occurs on the last Wednesday of each month starting at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET.
To join, register for the Gathering HOPE or Gathering HOPE: Young Lung events. Then, simply join the Zoom meeting at the event time.
What to expect
With both groups, will start the event by doing introductions and explaining the basics of how to communicate through Zoom to the group—including how to raise your hand, use the chat feature, and mute when you’re not talking. Video participation is not required but is encouraged.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow survivors and caregivers. You can talk about everything from challenges and coping to giving advice and/or sharing stories of hope.
We will close with updates on GO2’s programs. We can’t wait to see you!
How to participate
Gathering HOPE takes place on Zoom. Register for Gathering HOPE and Gathering HOPE: Young Lung in advance to access the platform on the day of the event.
