Co-Founders

Laurie is GO2’s national spokesperson and primary liaison to community and government leaders, national media, collaborating agencies, health care professionals, and strategic alliances. Her strategic oversight of GO2 and these outside organizations has achieved national and international recognition for improving health policies and leading public awareness to shift the disease from one of stigma to one of hope.
Prior to GO2, Laurie served as president & CEO of the Lung Cancer Alliance. Her work in nonprofit was preceded by nearly two in decades in public policy having served as Chief of Staff to United States Department of Commerce Secretary Don Evans and Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ). She also served 11 years in the House of Representatives, six years as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jim Kolbe (R-AZ), and 5 years as Legislative Assistant to Congressmen Amo Houghton (R-NY) and Edward Madigan (R-IL).

Recognizing the critical need for education, empowerment, advocacy and research to help patients and families, Bonnie and her family founded the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF) in 2006, and then went on to found the Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute (ALCMI) with her husband, Tony Addario, in 2008.
She is an active presenter at numerous national/international conferences, serves on diverse panels and boards and often acts as an adviser to industry leaders, clinicians and policy makers. Bonnie has received numerous awards/honors for her work, including WebMD Health Hero Award and League of Women Voters Honoree, “Women Who Could Be President.”

A board-certified and practicing nurse practitioner, Dr. Fathi has 30 years of experience in direct clinical care, including the lung screening and cancer care continuum. She has a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to produce measurable and sustainable change in health systems and health outcomes for patients and communities. She is active as an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Dr. Fathi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing for her distinguished contributions to improving health and achieving health equity by impacting policy through nursing leadership, innovation, and science. She is a staunch advocate for systems change, funding, and regulation to gain better access to care and optimal outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations. Over her long and esteemed career, she has served in many leadership roles in healthcare, nursing, health policy, advisory boards, and national and international committees.

Courtney was inspired to join GO2 in a role that brings together her passion for ending cancer and supporting those living with a diagnosis with her research interests. For over two decades, her research career focused on understanding the molecular and environmental drivers of lung and other cancers by leveraging multidisciplinary teams in government, academic, commercial, and nonprofit settings.
Courtney holds degrees in biology (B.S., Yale), public health (M.S.P.H., UNC Chapel Hill), and biochemistry and molecular genetics (Ph.D., George Washington). She resides in Bethesda, MD, with her husband, their three children, and two dogs. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outside, running, playing tennis and pickleball, and watching her children play sports.



Brad earned his degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the C.T. Bauer College of Business and the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (ranked #1 nationally) at the University of Houston where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the valedictorian of the graduating class.
