Donate
to Lung Cancer

Every year, more than 225,000 people are diagnosed with lung cancer—and your donation can make a difference in our relentless quest for a cure.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States—but receives the least amount of federal research funding.

When you donate to lung cancer, you are playing a critical role in advancing research and increasing survival for those at risk, diagnosed, and living with lung cancer. Your lung cancer donation will fund innovative lung cancer research, government advocacy, and patient and caregiver support services.

Why donate to lung cancer?

When you donate to lung cancer, you are not just helping one person—you’re helping a community. Your support helps us transform lives, from providing free educational materials to people diagnosed with lung cancer and their families to help them understand their disease and treatment options, to staffing our HelpLine so someone diagnosed with lung cancer can receive free one-on-one support. Your donation also helps us provide free personalized care recommendations and helps people find clinical trials that are right for them. When you donate to lung cancer, you are helping investigators research lung cancer causes and move us one step closer to a cure.

Help us confront lung cancer and transform survival. Your donation can help sustain GO2’s free support services, our innovative research, our excellence in screening and treatment programs, and also our lifesaving advocacy and awareness efforts, including national PSAs with actor and director, Tony Goldwyn.

How your donations make a difference

Your support makes an impact on the lives of people at risk for and affected by the disease. Lung cancer donations allow GO2’s specially trained team to provide over 100,000 people annually with education, treatment navigation, and support services. Your donation helps fuel our lung cancer advocacy efforts, including securing over $245 million to date in federal lung cancer research funding. Your support also enables us to launch programs to address health inequities, including increasing diversity in clinical trials and educating high-risk communities of color, low-income, Latino/Hispanic, and Asian American communities about screening, treatment, and survivorship.

When you make a lung cancer donation, you’re also helping fund critical research—to better understand, for example, why increasing numbers of younger people are being diagnosed with no known risk factors and how best to support the people who care for those living with lung cancer. Your support also enabled researchers to confirm for the first time that there is an inherited risk for lung cancer, which is another important building block in our quest to unlock the genetic origins of lung cancer. Every dollar you give helps us confront lung cancer and our relentless quest for a cure. We always respect your privacy. Read our policy here
