LungMATCH
LungMATCH is GO2 for Lung Cancer’s personalized treatment and trial navigation program. Trained treatment and clinical trial navigators are available to provide guidance to anyone affected by lung cancer.
Our LungMATCH team is easily accessed through GO2’s free HelpLine at 1-800-298-2436 or support@go2.org.
At GO2, we confront lung cancer on every front by supporting innovative research and personalized resources for our community. LungMATCH enables us to do both. Our specially trained navigators offer guidance and resources to help people with lung cancer find clinical trials, learn about how they work, and join. This, in turn, helps lead to new scientific advancements and saves lives.

What LungMATCH offers
LungMATCH is unique among similar programs in that we operate our service exclusively in-house. Our specially trained staff make it a priority to understand each patient’s unique diagnosis and pass along high-quality, up-to-date information about the most current treatment and clinical trial options. This empowers people with lung cancer and caregivers to have informed discussions with their healthcare teams.
LungMATCH services include:
- Interpretation of biomarker reports
- Personalized treatment guidance
- Clinical trial matching and navigation
- Connection to high-quality, up-to-date resources and educational materials on lung cancer
Impact of the LungMATCH program
The LungMATCH program has achieved real-world results, leading to better outcomes for those living with lung cancer and advancements in both diagnostics and treatments through enrollment in clinical trials. To date, LungMATCH has helped over 800 individuals receive personalized navigation to aid in their cancer journey.
In 2022, more than 9 out of 10 people (95%) who contacted LungMATCH about their clinical trial options went on to talk with their healthcare team about their options. GO2 learned that 4 out of 10 of those people (40%) ultimately joined a clinical trial. This is 5 times more than the national rate.
The LungMATCH program continues to expand! We are partnering with many of GO2 for Lung Cancer’s support programs to bring expert navigation to more people from more diverse backgrounds and to the people most in need. We won’t stop until we bridge the gap for everyone to have access to high-quality information about lung cancer care, leading to better outcomes for our community!

Matthew Reiss, MSE, PhD Manager, Precision Medicine & Navigation
As the manager of precision medicine and navigation, I oversee GO2 for Lung Cancer’s LungMATCH program. I work to ensure that our caring and experienced navigators can provide the most up-to-date information about lung cancer to help deliver better outcomes for individuals. I am passionate about providing individualized support for those facing lung cancer and making sure people feel empowered throughout their treatment path. Before GO2, I worked as an academic researcher to better understand how genomic instability can lead to the emergence of cancer and studied how to use those findings to develop new treatment options. In my free time, I enjoy running, playing soccer, and spending time with my family and dog.

Associate Director, Clinical Research
Andrew Ciupek, PhD Associate Director, Clinical Research
I am the associate director of clinical research and have been with GO2 since 2016. Before joining GO2, I spent several years in academic settings as a translational cancer lab researcher, focusing on understanding the biology behind resistance to various cancer therapies and discovering new therapeutic targets in cancer cells. I transitioned to patient advocacy to work more closely to ensure the patient’s voice and experiences are represented in clinical research. As one of the LungMATCH navigators, I’m pleased to work directly with patients, as well as their friends and family, to help them understand how current research advances can impact their cancer care and empower them to take active, informed roles in the process.

Brittney Nichols, MPH, BSN-RN Specialist, Science and Research
I am a nurse and public health professional who has been with GO2 since 2022. As a member of the LungMATCH team, I help connect people with lung cancer treatments or trials in their area specific to their unique situation. It's a wonderful opportunity to speak with people across the country. When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my husband and pets (2 dogs and a cat) or curled up with a good book and an espresso.
