Now, more than ever, we must raise our collective voices to protect vital federal research funding for lung cancer. Help us reach  lawmakers on Capitol Hill to urge them to fully fund the Lung Cancer Research Program.

We’re holding a Virtual Lung Cancer Voices Summit this year—and you’re invited to join us. Registration is FREE.

This year’s summit will continue the tradition of bringing the lung cancer community together for an engaging two-day event, June 15–16.  Day 1 will have online features, including interactive panel discussions on the latest in lung cancer research,  effective advocacy training, and special networking breakouts to connect with old friends and make new ones.

On Day 2, our Day of Action, you and other members of your state team will “meet” via phone with your elected officials and their staff. Our GO2 for Lung Cancer advocacy team will set up each meeting and provide you with background materials, including talking points and an Advocacy Action Toolkit, in advance.

You don’t need special skills or experience to participate. Bring your story and your voice, and we’ll prepare you to be a lung cancer advocate.

We demand $20 million for lung cancer research.

During our meetings with lawmakers we will be requesting  $20 million  dollars to increase  the Lung Cancer Research Program. Over the past 11 years, the program has been underfunded below its original $20 million level. The good news is thus far, the program received a total of $155.5 million, making it the largest lung cancer program—public or private—outside of the National Cancer Institute.

Funding for this vital program will support studies in early detection and treatment of lung cancer. This research is critically needed, especially now with the lung cancer community at an even higher risk of contracting COVID-19.
