It can be hard to know where to go with your questions about lung cancer risk, diagnosis and treatment or how to connect with others who have had similar experiences. GO2’s HelpLine staff is here to help! You can contact the HelpLine by phone at 1-800-298-2436 or email us at support@go2.org.

Here’s what to expect when you do:

Your call or email will be answered or returned by someone on our support services staff, not a receptionist or someone else who needs to direct your message to someone else. These days, you are likely to connect with one of the three M’s: Miranda Goff, Michele Zeh or Maureen Rigney.

Clockwise from Top Left: Michele Zeh, Miranda Goff, LICSW and Maureen Rigney, LICSW

We take pride in the services we provide so when you call us during our hours of operation (Monday through Friday, 9 am-5 pm Eastern Time), one of us is likely to answer. If you happen to call outside of those hours and get our voice mail, feel free to leave as many details as you would like, and someone will call you back during business hours. We use a secure system so only those who work on the HelpLine will hear your message. We try and return all messages by the end of the day that we receive them.

When you email us with your questions or needs during business hours, we will reply the same day. In your email, please also let us know if you’d like us to give you a call or if an email reply is best for you.

There are a wide variety of reasons to contact us. You might want to talk through your experience, you might want to discuss next steps in your treatment or you might not be quite sure why you are contacting us! All are OK! We work to understand your situation and to give you the right information at the time you need it.

We answer many types of questions on the HelpLine about lung cancer risk and screening, diagnosis and treatment, and coping and living with lung cancer. We can call, email or mail you any information you need. We can suggest and connect you with resources and offer peer-to-peer support. We can talk through what quality care looks like and where you might go for a second opinion. No question is too big or too small for the HelpLIne staff. Our goal is always to help smooth your path as best we can.

Occasionally callers have specific treatment questions or they would like to explore enrolling in a clinical trial to treat their lung cancer. In those cases, we would put you in touch with one of our LungMATCH navigators for additional support.

Whatever your question, concern or need, please don’t hesitate to call the HelpLine. If we don’t have the answer, we will help you find someone who does, because at GO2 for Lung Cancer, patients are at the center of everything we do.

We are excited to bring you more stories about GO2 for Lung Cancer’s patient programs and support services, including the Living Room, HelpLine, LungMatch and Phone Buddy. If you have ideas on topics or stories you’d like to read about here, please email yourcommunity@go2.org
