GO2 for Lung Cancer Welcomes Two New Centers of Excellence

Last month GO2 for Lung Cancer welcomed two new Centers of Excellence (COE) in Lung Cancer Screening: Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas and Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. We are thrilled to have VA medical centers join our network as part of a formal partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs to advance lifesaving screening and care for our military men and women at greater risk for the disease. These VA facilities join a long list of community hospitals across the nation providing excellence in lung cancer care from screening and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. GO2 for Lung Cancer Centers of Excellence Virtual Summit Preview

This year, GO2 for Lung Cancer will be hosting a virtual edition of the COE Summit. This event combines two great former events, the Care Continuum Centers of Excellence Summit and the Screening and Care Conference. The purpose of the event is to bring together healthcare professionals and beyond to share innovations and gains in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and to enhance collaboration and implementation of best practices across the network. The lessons learned will help ensure better outcomes for patients at risk for or diagnosed with lung cancer.  The COE Summit takes place from October 26-30, with live sessions on October 29-30. Here’s a brief preview of some of the presentations in store for attendees:

  • COVID Impact to Lung Cancer Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment
  • Leaving No Veteran Behind – Standing Up Screening and Care for Veterans At-Risk
  • Incidental Pulmonary Nodule Programs: An Untapped Opportunity to Drive Early Detection
  • Achieving Comprehensive Biomarker Testing for Every Patient
  • Resilience and Innovation: Bold Thinking About the Care Continuum Now and to Come

Although patient advocates are participating in key panels and discussions, the conference is intended for healthcare professionals serving our community on the frontlines. Learn more and register here.
