Everyone living with lung cancer has unique experiences. Some people discover it unexpectedly—like the young mother whose scans after a car accident showed some changes in her lungs or the young runner who faced breathing difficulties and later learned that they had lung cancer. Others may have a family history of the disease but do not qualify for lung cancer screening. Meanwhile, others qualified for lung cancer screening avoided it out of fear of the results.
Why every experience matters
At GO2 for Lung Cancer, we believe each person’s experience has the power to make a difference. Sharing them provides valuable insights that can advance research, leading to improved methods for early detection and more effective treatments. That is why we created the GO2 Lung Cancer Registry—to collect lung cancer patient and caregiver experiences from all over the world and use them to better shape care and outcomes for people impacted by lung cancer. It allows people with lung cancer to contribute directly to this global research hub and become a critical part of efforts to discover new treatments for their disease
Approved by the Institutional Review Board in 2019, GO2’s Lung Cancer Registry has grown to include over 2,800 participants from more than 60 countries.
The new and improved Registry
The Lung Cancer Registry recently transitioned to an exciting new platform that allows individuals with lung cancer to provide updates on their treatment and disease status and share electronic health records and CT scans. The new tools on the site make it easier to:
- Create an account
- Complete different surveys (taking only 5-15 minutes each)
- Access information about biomarker testing, side effects, quality of life, and survivorship
- View overall data from other participants while maintaining privacy
- Find resources about clinical trials
- Access the latest lung cancer research
- Store your medical information securely

I would be delighted to share my “story” with others. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 NSCLC in December, 2019. I was treated with Tagrisso until November, 2024 when I switched to Lezcluze which had just received FDA approval. It has worked miracles!
