GO2 for Lung Cancer is proud to partner with Triage Cancer, a national nonprofit organization that provides free education on the legal and practical issues that impact many people who are diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers.

Triage Cancer was founded in 2012 by two cancer rights attorneys who saw a need to help individuals diagnosed with cancer navigate the legal and practical issues that can arise after a diagnosis – things like health insurance, financial issues, housing, fertility preservation, veteran’s issues, and concerns facing the LGBTQ+ community.

One important resource offered by Triage Cancer is their free educational webinar series that covers many of these topics and more. Every webinar is open to the public and is aimed at providing important information to people diagnosed with cancer, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare professionals.

Triage Cancer’s next webinar takes place on July 26, 2023 and is titled “Engaging in Self-Advocacy.” It will cover practical tips for collecting medical records, talking with health care teams, navigating work and cancer, applying for benefits, filing appeals, identifying inaccurate online information, and more.
