As our community’s needs have grown over the course of the past year, so has our team! Meet the newest members of our GO2 for Lung Cancer staff, working behind the scenes to move the needle for the lung cancer community every day.

Alexis Collins, MFA

Specialist, Marketing

Alexis graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Hollins University in 2021, just before joining GO2 for Lung Cancer’s marketing team. She’s from Midlothian, Virginia, where she lives with her cat, Bea. In her free time, Alexis runs a joint Bookstagram (book Instagram) account and review blog with her twin sister. Besides writing her own novels and reading, she loves baking chocolate chip cookies and drinking green tea in cafés.

Amy Kampschroeder, MA, OTR/L, CHES

Manager, Patient Outreach & Special Initiatives

Amy joins GO2 for Lung Cancer with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and education and is excited to take on a new role managing our Small Cell Lung Cancer Initiative. Her background as an Occupational Therapist and Certified Health Education Specialist, plus her family’s connection to the lung cancer community, both contribute to her passion in this area. She enjoys porch time with a good book, loving on her four dogs, and family movie nights with lots of popcorn!

Jody Plantz, MBA, CTR

Manager, Lung Cancer Registry

Jody’s close involvement with her sister’s cancer journey inspired a career shift from marketing/graphic design into the cancer registry space. In 2013, she earned a Certified Tumor Registrar credential, followed by a Master’s in Business Administration. Jody now joins GO2 for Lung Cancer with 10 years of oncology data and cancer registry experience. Outside of work, she loves spending time in Colorado and Arizona with her family and two dogs.

John Wells, MBA-HA

Specialist, Lung Cancer Registry

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from James Madison University, followed by an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. He has worked in numerous healthcare roles while earning his degrees, from hospice settings to client services, research, data management, and pharmacy compliance. In his free time, John likes reading, biking, babysitting his two nephews, and spending time with his 50-pound lap dog, Donut.
