After three years of virtual advocacy, the 2023 Lung Cancer Voices Summit will be held in Washington, DC, March 19-21. Lung cancer advocates will meet in person with their elected officials to advocate for critical federal research funding on lung cancer.

The Lung Cancer Voices Summit is the only meeting that brings the lung cancer community together for education, training, empowerment and advocacy. This year’s agenda features updates on the latest science from leading experts, a conversation about the role of patients in advancing research and a discussion of health equity for all.

The Summit will also feature breakout sessions on finding your niche (for new advocates), science and research grant opportunities and more. In addition, you’ll have multiple opportunities to make new friends and connect with returning advocates during our networking events and closing reception.

The heart of the Voices Summit is advocacy—and the start of the 118th Congress offers advocates an opportunity, together, to make a difference:

  • Educate new legislators about the current state of lung cancer.
  • Remind new and returning lawmakers and their staff about the importance of funding lung cancer research.
  • Tell your lung cancer story and put a face to the disease.

This year we’re asking Congress to provide $60 million for the Lung Cancer Research Program (LCRP). The LCRP actively conducts clinical trials testing new therapies, including immunotherapies and novel types of precision medicines for patients with specific genetic changes in their lung cancer.

Join fellow survivors, caregivers, loved ones, healthcare professionals and our seasoned lung cancer advocates in Washington to make our voices heard.  Together, we confront lung cancer. Join us to make your voice heard!
