We are excited to introduce the newest member of GO2’s Patient Support team, Senior Manager of Support Programs and Peer Support, Ashley Doty. Ashley Doty Headshot

Ashley joins Maureen Rigney, Sarah McHale, and Michele Zeh on GO2’s HelpLine to offer one-on-one support, educational resources, referrals, and guidance on screening for people at risk and/or living with lung cancer.

Ashley also oversees the Phone Buddy program, which connects individuals needing support with trained volunteers who have faced similar experiences. She is deeply committed to fostering meaningful peer-to-peer connections and ensuring that those impacted by lung cancer are supported and understood.

“A cancer diagnosis can bring overwhelming emotions and unique challenges, but connecting with someone who has faced similar experiences can make a profound difference,” said Ashley. “I am excited to connect with the GO2 community and continue to grow the Phone Buddy program to ensure that everyone has access to support from someone who understands what they’re going through. I am grateful for the incredible foundation laid by those who have worked so hard to make the program what it is today. I hope to build on this legacy, fostering meaningful connections and supporting GO2’s mission to improve the quality of life of individuals impacted by lung cancer,” she added.

Before joining GO2, Ashley worked for over 6 years as a patient navigator with the American Cancer Society, based at the University of Colorado Cancer Center and Lutheran Medical Center. In this role, she provided comprehensive support to cancer patients, their families, and volunteers. Ashley has also supported caregivers in eldercare and for other chronic conditions, furthering her understanding of the challenges families face when caring for loved ones. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human services and gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado.

Ashley lives in Colorado with her husband and their rescue corgi, Bonnie Lou. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, hiking, and off-roading adventures in the mountains. She is looking forward to many camping and hiking trips during the summer.
